Did You Visit Vocalis?

I have been following Stefanie since I started blogging here. Besides books, we both love furry and feathery friends, and cycling. It’s a delight to read her blogs on all of it. Recently, Stefanie launched a page called Vocalis. According to the page, “Vocalis — vocal, having a voice, sounding, not silent — is dedicated to the personal essay in all its variety. It is a bit of an experiment, an attempt, an assay.” Stefanie wondered if I would fancy writing a post for Vocalis, and I didn’t hesitate to grab the opportunity. I have written an essay on my favourite topic, Life’s Little Pleasures. The post is here.

When I wrote that post, I was filled with gratitude and hope, for I looked back, surveyed the dark path I had crossed, and felt thankful for the great things I have in life now.

Thank you for the opportunity, Stefanie. 🙂

  1. Beautiful essay, Deepika. It’s hard to remember to take the time to enjoy the small things in life when we are so concerned with the bigger things. But, they’re so much more important, especially when some of the big things have been taken away. Thanks for the reminder!

  2. I LOVE your chat with Life! “You are going to be nice with me!” Brilliant. Thank you for sharing this. I see that you are following Elizabeth Gilbert’s idea to follow your curiosity wherever it may lead. Bravo!
