My sister, who lives in the USA, has recently discovered the artiste in her. So is my nephew. Both of them thought that my room was barren, and so they decided to fill it with their artworks, which are about animals and books. I wake up to an explosion of colours in my room these days. And, I am really, really loving it. 🙂
Shravan — my nine-year-old nephew — painted these cute magnets for me.
He also painted this “super-scary” doorknob hanger. Also, my dog’s name is Boo, and she is shy. He thought that this is how she looks when we have visitors. 😉
Why it is easier to hang out with animals… 😉
Since I told my sister that I want to raise all the cats in the world… ❤
And, all the dogs too. 🙂
When I finished reading Charlotte’s Web, I was so obsessed with the book, I couldn’t stop raving about it. So, my sister dedicated this to EB White, one of my favourite writers.
Here is my favourite passage from the book:
“Do you understand how there could be any writing in a spider’s web?”
“Oh, no,” said Dr. Dorian. “I don’t understand it. But for that matter I don’t understand how a spider learned to spin a web in the first place. When the words appeared, everyone said they were a miracle. But nobody pointed out that the web itself is a miracle.”
“What’s miraculous about a spider’s web?” said Mrs. Arable. “I don’t see why you say a web is a miracle-it’s just a web.”
“Ever try to spin one?” asked Dr. Dorian.”
Should I really explain at all! 🙂 ❤
Some gentle reminders for me to be positive and Zennish. ❤
My sister painted Calvin’s portrait before he passed away. I can’t bring myself to change the tense. ❤ I heart both of these. Heffalump much!
This is how my room looks now. I delight in these colours. But most of all, I love them because they are meaningful and personal.
