Postbox: Stuart Little

Last week was insane. Work was hectic, and so, I couldn’t read anything. Also, it was my best friend’s birthday last Friday, and I managed to write something for her. Which I hope she liked. And, yesterday, my husband and I decided to celebrate my 27th birthday… after eight months. Fake birthday was fun too. 🙂 We drove down to a quaint cafe called Nautilus in Mahabalipuram. There were a couple of beautiful book shelves, filled with French literature. I could recognise Gone Girl alone. The food was great, the ambiance was friendly, and there was a super huge mongrel. He wasn’t friendly though. Bad dog. 😉

So, books-wise, I received Stuart Little in the mail, and The Trumpet of The Swan will be delivered in a couple of days. I consciously didn’t decide to read children’s literature or animal-books this year. I started reading a few children’s book, with lovely animals in it, and then, I continued ordering more of such books. I finished reading EB White’s Charlotte’s Web a couple of weeks ago. I have raved about it here. Since I loved Charlotte’s Web, I wanted to read the other two books written by EB White, who is now one of my favourite writers.

I’m not quite sure if I would read Stuart Little next. I started reading Murakami’s Kafka on the Shore a few days ago. Maybe, I should finish it first. It is a big book, and the font is small. I have been OD’ing on novellas lately. Hence, Kafka on the Shore looks daunting. But, I must plunge into it soon. 🙂
